Yesterday Greg Luck and I took advantage of a sublime summer day in the alpine near Crested Butte. We hiked the Ruby Anthracite trail down to water's edge, then navigated that steep little creek down into and through the Dark Canyon. Our adventure concluded with a bike ride back up Kebler Pass to retrieve the car that got us there in the first place.
Flow was ~610cfs--arrived at by subtracting the Muddy Creek gauge from the North Fork at Somerset reading. Felt like a 'low side of good' level to me, although most kayakers would likely just think of it as 'low'.
